Ocean Technologies, LLC was formed March of 1997, producing digital satellite analysis, using high-resolution sea surface temperature imagery, in a PC format accessible by individuals via the Internet. In the Spring of 1998, Ocean Technologies shifted markets and expanded their area of expertise to include Maritime Surveillance, target tracking and asset tracking to pursue a more commercial oriented and government based market.
Ocean Technologies has developed a long history of being the oceanographic staff for small to mid-sized companies in need of oceanographic experience and skill. The specific nature of the business today is to provide a complete professional faculty to perform a wide variety of services such as the collection and integration of multiple sensor data sets for analyses and dissemination to the customer. Ocean Technologies provides logistics, organization, and operations of specialized environmental instrumentation and services. Services and products provided by Ocean Technologies are Information Technology (IT) based and are oriented toward data management and distribution.
